” I hired Betty for two private coaching sessions after discovering her excellent blog.  I needed guidance on crafting my business mission statement and an after-school flyer for my children’s yoga business.  Betty’s laser focus coaching and editorial skills and recommendations gave me the clarity and confidence to take my business to the next level.  I would recommend Betty’s coaching services to anyone who is in the “trenches” trying to figure out the nuts and bolts of building a children’s yoga business.”

Anne-Marie Cullinane,  Director of Yoga & Wellness Tools 4 School, New York City

“As a professional actress and entrepreneur, I came to Betty for her wisdom and direction in the development of my transformative children’s arts education program. I am sincerely in gratitude to Betty because she asked me the right questions to provide both clarity and inspiration so I could explore new ideas towards the fulfillment my vision. Her guidance was well-thought out and articulated with individualized attention to my needs and intentions. Betty is one of the most genuine, caring, and passionate individuals I’ve worked with in the yoga field and I recommend her with great esteem.”

~Kate, Yoga Teacher and Children’s Program Provider, New York City

My Background:

I have been teaching yoga to children for over 13 years and know everything about growing a kids yoga business because I have done it from scratch twice.  I spent many years in book publishing and grant writing and a few years as an elementary school teacher in the NJ public school system before I went into business for myself.

Back in 2001, I co-founded a children’s yoga business and within 4 years we went from teaching one class to running enrichment and after school programs at over 20 private and public schools, daycare centers and YMCAS throughout NYC and NJ, as well as parties and corporate events.   With my expertise in writing winning proposals and grants, I knew what schools were looking for in a proposal and learned how to approach clients so that they would listen.

In 2005, my business partner and I decided to part ways and I  took a position at one of the largest global corporate banks, where I gained valuable experience in marketing, promotion and event planning.  I received my children’s yoga certification from Karma Kids Yoga in NYC in 2007 and continued to pursue my other passions of writing, teaching and art.

Then in 2011, I left my corporate job to pursue those passions full time. I went from teaching one yoga class at a local preschool which became so popular that it expanded to 4 classes with one year and I continued to attract more clients.  In less than two years, I again had a successful children’s yoga and education business.  I am currently teaching a full schedule of kids yoga classes at 5 preschools and 2 elementary schools, several teacher yoga classes and some private session per week, as well as tutoring and working on my art and writing projects.
