Today’s training day started out with a gentle restorative yoga class led by Kyle, one of our yoga training instructors.  His class focused less on proper posture and more on letting your breath carry through the pose and direct your practice.  For the first time since I began my training, I felt a connection to my body and my practice. I let go of trying to get it right and enjoyed the movement, which allowed me to become more aware of myself.  It grounded me in why I love yoga and why I am doing this training…to love and accept myself as I am, exactly where I am so that I can hold that space of love and acceptance for my students and everyone in my life.  That’s a big space to hold and I am seeing how it all begins with me.

I spent the rest of the day  absorbing so much new information on anatomy and ayurvedic medicine.  It is so much to digest and I feel overwhelmed by the complexity and depth of each and every component of yoga.  
I find myself feeling bogged down and need to recognize that I am learning…part of this whole process is INTEGRATION, and that will come with time and PRACTICE.
